My Passion

I have enjoyed assisting and nurturing pregnant women for over 30 years! Pregnancy is a catalyst for change and it is wonderful to see women gain confidence and strength as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and motherhood!  As a doula, childbirth educator and former midwife, I have provided women with knowledge to make healthy choices, encouraged them, and listened to their struggles and joy through this incredible time in their lives.

My Background

I have trained childbirth educators and doulas internationally. I’ve also had wonderful opportunities to share about pregnancy and birth on the radio, at high schools, colleges, and conferences in the USA and abroad. I have worked with hospitals, birth centers and the homebirth community and enjoy empowering and nurturing pregnant moms in all of those settings.

Over the years I certified as a DONA doula trainer, a Bradley instructor, and was a state coordinator for the International Childbirth Education Association. In 2005 I developed and implemented a training program to equip others to help pregnant women in both first world and developing nations. That work continues today in many countries.

I am also a certified Life Coach, and love to use coaching tools to help women achieve their best birth.
